File Backup when Tar not available

File Backup when Tar not available

Hi CMSMSers

I am working on a website on my localhost and want to move it to my web server. How can i do this, when the development platform is Windows (fileBackup gives an error that TAR is not a valid function)

Please help

Have your tried it anyway as I have the same error but can do the backup

Have you tried ZIP file format, and the only thing you need is anything you've added to the default folder/file system the rest is in the tar of cmsmadesimple you down loaded to start with, make sure you move the DB as it holds all content of pages etc...

Use Total Comander. Just make sure there are no file paths longer then 255. Other wise it will crash.
