[Solved] Edit Default Shortcuts?

Post by rmdev »

Hi All,

Searched the documentation and the forum, but can't find where you can edit the default Shortcuts that appear in the Admin console. I want to remove the defaults and put ones in that are relevant for the sites admin.  Does it have to be done in the database?

Running CMSMS version 1.6.6

I'm thinking I must be overlooking something simple. Thanks!

**** SOLVED ****  Some Admin Themes have shortcuts hard-coded into them. Edit the Admin Theme to remove these shortcuts.

Simple indeed.
There are 'add shortcut' and 'manage shortcuts' buttons in the shortcuts tab.
Take a penny, leave a penny.

yes but does not allow you to remove/edit the default shortcuts that appear;

    * Forums
    * Wiki
    * Forge
    * IRC
    * Module Help

I want to remove these completely and replace them with shortcuts that will show for any new users.  Perhaps not so simple  ;)

On the manage shortcuts page, you should see an edit and delete icon to the right of each shortcut.
So, yes, it's still simple.
Take a penny, leave a penny.

I got it.. the links I am referring to are hard coded into the admin theme. Not so obvious, was pulling my hair out. Thanks for your help Ziggywigged!
