[SOLVED] Changed host / upgrade / page blank / Smarty error

Hi,
I just changed my host and at the same time I upgraded to 1.5.3
During upgrade.php I have this error:

string(117) "Smarty error: [in install1.tpl line 19]: syntax error: unrecognized tag 'cycle' (Smarty_Compiler.class.php, line 590)" string(125) "Smarty error: [in install1.tpl line 26]: [plugin] modifier 'date_format' is not implemented (core.load_plugins.php, line 124)"

but I finished the installation.
My admin page is working fine.  Also all articles & etc are there but my page is not opening (blank page).

Any help?

I just got this same error ... so how about sharing with the group *how* it got solved?

Just noting [solved] is fine, but if we do not post the action that solved the issue, people coming after you with the same problem cannot find a quick fix.

So please share -- how did you solve this problem?

My install is on hold until I can figure this out.

Sure.
I had done some mistakes when editing config.php.

database and database passwords were correct but some path were not

for example:

/home/myaccount/public_html/mysite
