Hey!
Have tried to test PRETTY URLS, but doesn't seems to work in mod_rewrite. When do everything that it says in the manual. Copy the .htaccess file etc. It's just come to my normal ISP (index.html) file. That says like "a site isn't up yet" Still if I remove the original ISP file it doesn't find any site at all. Is that because of that SAFE MODE is ON at my isp? Somewhere in my memory it says that because I tested pretty urls a long time ago and if I remember right that was the problem but have tried to search about it here at the forums but can't find anything about it. Upload file, images etc is no problem as it says in the warning of in the backend when SAFE MODE is ON.
If you have any other suggestion if there could be some other errors or wrongs I do please tell me.
Regards
Peter

Ask your web host to turn PHP 'safe-mode' to off.
Check that your config.php is also enable for pretty urls.

Re: Pretty URL's in SAFEMODE?
Hi, I’m running cmsmadesimple version 1.5.2 with pretty urls (apache mod rewrite) on a host with safemode = on.
I followed the guide from here
http://wiki.cmsmadesimple.org/index.php ... ty_URL.27s
How does your configs / .htaccess file look?
Safe mode on or off, it doesn't really matter for this.

CMSms may work with safe mode ON but it is NOT supported. Hence safe mode OFF is an official requirement.thile wrote: Safe mode on or off, it doesn't really matter for this.
You are lucky if it works in your context. Other people are unlucky both because it doesn't work in their contexts and the official support team has no time for them.
