[solved]oscommerce blank module screen after sucessful install
I just installed oscommerce and put up a test page. When installing the module it said everything was installed successful and I looked at the database and it looks like it's all there. Then added admin to the oscommerce permission not that i would think you would have to but I still did. When I go to the module it is blank. It says Oscommerce and thats it. No errors or anything. If you load the test page it says. "Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory." I enabled it in the php.ini and still get the error. Is this error causing the problem or is something else causing the problems. Not sure where to start or what to look at. Thanks in advance for the help.

Re: oscommerce blank module screen after sucessful install
The last developements in the oscommerce modules are already pretty old (both at least a year). It could be that they are no longer compatible. One of them is even based on OSC below version 1... i think the current version is 2.2 or something.
You might want to switch to Shop Made Simple (see modules page in dev section). What do you want to do with your shop? I am no expert on the shopping modules, but probably someone else can give you a good hint on where to continue.
If you are looking at the full OSC functionality (customer management etc), you probably shouldn't look at an integration... but that's just a thought as I do not know about the abilities of the existing CMSMS shopping modules.

Re: oscommerce blank module screen after sucessful install
Im actually just looking for a simple way to post items on out site. Its main purpose is to promote the Complex but I was looking into adding in a page where they could purchase stuff like t-shirts ect. Sounded like this would do the trick but I'm not married to the idea if someone knows of a better module to use I'm open to suggestions. Here is a link to the site if you want to check it out. http://imimotorsports.com Under the shop page is where I would like to list items. I have a ebay store linked to that page at the moment but I want to go a little more professional than that.
Thanks,
Thanks,

In that case, I think shop made simple and cart made simple would do the trick. You should also find loads of posts about them in the forums. I think OSC is a little overdressed for your needs
and would lead to frustration sooner or later (@ OS Commerce: no offence... but it has way to many features for starting small things with it I think).
Welcome to CMSMS btw

Thanks for the advise. I removed Osc and installed the other. Looks like it will suit my needs much better.
