Image Map Problem

Post by devilslayer »

Hello all,

I am trying to put an image map into my page.  I have a map of the UK broken into Regional Groups. I want each regional group to link to a page using the image map.

The code I have is below:

The link for the page is:

Code: Select all

 {cms_selflink page="scotland-n-ireland" text="Scotland and N Ireland"}
How do I change href="undefined" in the image map for the page?  I have tried inserting the {cms_selflink page="scotland-n-ireland" text="Scotland and N Ireland"} as the href, but I get a smarty error.

Many Thanks

You can't use cms_selflink for image maps afaik. Try this instead:

The numbers are the coordinates for the hit area. And because geographical borders are'nt straight lines usualy, you would need alot of numbers ;)

The Image Map is for a map of the UK that is broken into Regional Groups

Scotland & Northern Ireland
East Anglian
North Eastern
North Midlands
North Western
Central Southern
South Midlands
South Wales
London
South Western

Each one of these regions on a UK Map will then link to a regional map containing individual branches within that region.

Your solution may work in some instances, but this time I need the whole area to be a link.

Thank You for your help.

Hello,
I am new to CMS Made Simple and I am interested in this script to highlight the maparea. But it is not quite obvious to find the procedure to insert it in a page (Idon't have much experience with javascripts). Can you help me a bit?
Thanks
V.
