Missing stylesheet [SOLVED]

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Missing stylesheet [SOLVED]

Post by fdingen »

Hello,

I've upgraded to 1.4.1 and move to my root directory. This last one is done with copying the files to the main directory and changing the config.php file.

Everything (allmost) works except for my layout. Its all gone...... I'am using the standard "Left simple navigation + 1 column" layout but it only shows text and no layout.

Please advise......

Have you run install/upgrade.php?
Check you have schema version 31

Yes I did.  Currently I've deleted everything and trying to set things back up........ only this is running into no stylesheets and no website.

I did a clean install, it asked for installation of default template and text but it is not showing anything.

I'm having the same problem - but it's with a custom template.  i.e. I created a template called 'slideshow'

The call to {stylesheet}  is not inserting the default css stylesheets.  (4)

{stylesheet} = 4 Blank lines in 'view source' code

When I use the 'CSSMenu top + 2 columns' template everything works and stylesheets are inserted i.e.  the following 4 lines are inserted:

Any help - greatly appreciatated.

& Yes! I have latest version running, with upgrade and Schema 31

Thanks!

Ok this looks like a bug:

Try the following....

- create a new template.
- give it a new name e.g.  test_template
- save it.
- then set a page of content to use the 'test_template'
- load the page of content in your browser

and you'll find that all stylesheet formatting is lost.

Can someone else confirm that this is the case?  thanks!.

Sure!

But if you want display any stylesheets, you must "attach" them to template.
Go to Layout > Templates and yellow icon for attach them ....

Have you look in upgrade.php if there was a error

Check your css_assoc table for "assoc_order" field

Thanks Alby!

Attaching the stylesheets (as described above) fixed my problem.

This may cause problems for other users - so in the interest of improving the CMS - I suggest the dev. team turn this into some sort of button i.e. an "attach stylesheet" button.

It's very easy to miss the CSS yellow icon.

..none the less - keep up the good work!

Thanks again.

Hello All

I have not upgraded yet, the last time I did I lost my css changes, I would like to upgrade this time and keep the changes that I have made to my css.

Are css stored in the db, or are they in a file folder?

How would be the best way to upgrade and still keep, your css mods?

Ok,

Everything sorted out for me, I've downloaded a new FTP program --> Filezilla, this shows me that some files were not uploaded to the main folder. After this I lost my content... but now I'am fixing things back up.

Solution: stay calm  ;)
