Actually, I don't think it's a conflict...  I think it might be a problem with the News module for some reason.

Has any of the syntax chnaged for the News module?

I've upgraded to 0.11.3 and the problem persists (though others have been fixed - yay!).

Is NO ONE else having this or similar problems with PiSearch? Why is it always ME? Why!?

i don't believe that it is a pisearch problem.

with pisearch you can get only a big problem, if you set it in a page and not in the template.

if you set it in a page , smarty renderd this page recursiv and this loop never ends.

as a result your server will hang.
