CMSMS on IIS with Pretty URLs

Post by dave.webb »

Hi all.

From searching the forum I can see that a few people have had this problem but nobody has provided a solution to resolve it.

I have a few installations of CMSMS working perfectly on IIS6 (Windows 2003) but without the PrettyURLs option enabled.  I've downloaded and installed ISAPI_ReWrite but can't seem to get it to work.  The guys on the forum there have been very helpful and provided various rule examples to try but so far nothing works.

If I use the mod_rewrite option then I get a 404 page for each link.  If I enable the PrettyURLs option then all links show the home page.  Which should it be for IIS?

If anyone has this working I'd be very grateful to know how it was achieved and what I need to do to get mine working.

Many thanks,
Dave

Pretty URLs don't work on IIS.  It says so in the config.php file.

helicon says ISAPI_Rewrite is 'Apache mod_rewrite compatible'...  you'll have to lean on them for support of their commercial product..

i dont think anyone here's gotten iis rewriting to work, and it is not a supported configuration..

the easy answer: get a linux server or hosting account. ;)
