Ok, talking it over on IRC. Have a better idea...
Remove the checkbox and the horizontal and vertical tabs. Instead, intalling cssmenu will install a horiz and vert entries into stylesheet management. These can then be applied to the template(s) being used on the site.
In fact, I think the cssmenu admin will only have one function. Reinsert the entries back into sytlesheet admin if they get messed up.
Thoughts?

That sounds like a workable solution.

I think that makes sense.
The other possible option is an "advanced" mode where the user may enter their own CSS. But most people probably wouldn't need or want that.

Re: CSSMenu: The ultimate CSS only PHPLayers replacement!
Thankyou!
I am so impressed with this. Just installed it 'cos I was having probs with phplayers and picked up this topic whilst searching to find a fix... don't need one now! Works fabulously in all browsers.
The only thing I can say is the seperator in IE shows up the same size as the other links, but this is minor... at least it works!!!

I've tried to make the menu horizontal, but I failed. I had read the whole topic but did not understand which method that was the right, not 'horizontal=1' right?
Re: CSSMenu: The ultimate CSS only PHPLayers replacement!
Hello everyone I have been busy doing school and stuff so haven't been here for a while.
Its great to see that my module has being used. Just noticed version 10.3 is out, got to uploaded sometime. Oh yeah, is this gonna be used as the official menu in versioin 11?
Also if you want to fix bugs etc. you can modify my code and post it under the modules wiki thing, as I haven't really got the time to work on it ATM as it is working for me. As long as it still metions my name somewhere.
Hopefully this css-based menu will become mainstream and we won't have to owrry about accesibility issues between browsers in the future.
