Hi

I'm sending out an email using Newsletter Made Simple however it is inserting "! "  i.e. and exclamation mark and a space into the HTML document. So this "... will be displayed soon in the..."  becomes "...will be displayed so! on in the..."

The HTML used is fine, I have checked and manually typed in that affected area so I'm sure there are no hidden characters doing this. If it helps, the "! " appear after the following character counts:

1424
2374
6101

I'm using

CMSMailer 1.73.14
CMS Version 1.5.1
NMS 2.2
PHP  5.2.5
MySQL  5.0.67

Does anyone know what would be causing this?

I ran into this a couple months ago.  Seemingly random ! in mail send by PHP is caused by not enough \r\n line breaks in the text.  If you are using extremely long emails of continuous text try inserting some of these manually.  Otherwise plead with the developers to add some \r\n periodically.

[solved] Try to switch on Tiny 'format html' and then remember to format the text, when you create a new message in the newsletter. That worked for me - I no longer get these exclamation marks. If I just copy the text into the newsletter and forget to format, the random exclamation marks show up again.
