[fixed] Missing move arrows in Content Manager
CMSMS novice!
Installed OK - using XAMPP on Windoze 7 machine.
Whilst updating content the arrows that allow pages to be moved up/down the hierarchy have disappeared - see attached.
Everything else seems fine.
Is there a way to replace Manager, or to move custom content to new version of site? I'm OK moving database, but not sure on just moving over content, including some changes to templates and stylesheets.
Thanks,
Rupert

Re: Missing move arrows in Content Manager
Tested on an installation from cmsms-2.0-beta1-install.phar.zip. Works for me.

Re: Missing move arrows in Content Manager
I should have said it was working fine following installation and whilst building a site.
Then 'suddenly' the arrows went missing.
Fiddling around with a fresh installation and connecting to the database from the problem site I find they've then gone. Similarly connecting problem site to new installation database they appear!
Not sure if that helps explain? But seems to me there's something gone missing in my data.
Also tried turning off/on the move column in settings, just worked as expected... it went away, then back, but still without arrows.

You are aware that this is a BETA version, not ready for production sites yet, aren't you?

Re: Missing move arrows in Content Manager
I can confirm it.
The moment a contentpage is locked the move-arrows are all gone.
cmsms-2.0-beta1-install.phar.zip installation
no SVN pateches applied
PHP 5.4.26-pl0-gentoo

That makes sense and I believe it is as designed... needs confirmation though.klenkes wrote:The moment a contentpage is locked the move-arrows are all gone.

The move-arrows of ALL pages!
Doesn't seem right to me...

Re: Missing move arrows in Content Manager
Moving affects the hierarchy of pages, thus it also conflicts with the page parent. It seems right to me

Re: Missing move arrows in Content Manager
Yes I am aware Beta - perhaps I should have said 'development' - not a production situation though I would hope it will become one. As said, new to CMSMS and it seemed logical to start with v2 rather that get to know v1 and then have to start over.
And happy to lend my tuppence to beta testing.
Regarding locked content pages... I did have some issues with locked pages when, I think, I was having difficulties with server connection.
Now I look again... I can find a 'locked' page buried in the hierarchy, having 'stolen' the lock back from myself all is well and the arrows are back.
So all well, I've learned something, and my apologies for wasting the bandwidth.

Re: Missing move arrows in Content Manager
All it takes sometimes is to have a second browser tab or window with ContentManager while editing some content on the 1st tab/window. Took me a while to get used to it but its is a plus IMO.rupertcutler wrote:Regarding locked content pages... Re: Missing move arrows in Content Manager
I added a title message to the columns that can't be used when there is locked content. The column title itself is in ( and )
So it is not a bug, but it is more clear this way! Thanks Rupert.
