Looking for knowlegde to migrate the HTML TopNavBar with automation module "Navigator::Navigation"

Post by hfdh »

Hi everyone! I am using a free html5 template that I really like and have imported and it works. Now I want to create an automated TopNavBar and I am trying for hours now, but I need a little help and explaination about how to do this. I watched the YouTube tutorial "CMS Made Simple Tutorial 06 - Customize the Top Navigation" by Nia Interactive, but its code is to different to get mine to work. Is there another place, like wiki or YouTube video that explains such a transition in more detail and more underlaying explaination of the default code generated to make it work? Thank you!

If you can read a little (or a lot) Dutch this post may help you understanding the logic of navigator: viewtopic.php?p=328116#p328116
It explains the recursion used in the Navigator templates.

My approach would be to first build the basic (html) layout of the menu in Navigator and later worry about the details.

Thanks For the really fast answer! Yes I am Dutch, never managed to get rid of my spoken and written accent. I was twelve when I got my first English language lessons, and there was no English television (BBC) or internet back then. Times are changing and the world is a smaller and much faster place it seems.

About your recommendation: I will check out your documentation, and continue. It runs fine in HTML, and I could edit it when a change is needed, but just in case I want someone else to do it it will be easier when this function works.

For now I will close this item {solved], thx again.
