Hi, very little knowledge here, so any help appreciated.
My current hosting server is running MySQL 5.5, which isn't being maintained anymore, and so needs to be upgraded. The hosting company has recommended moving to MariaDB 10.3
They mention that MariaDB 10.3 should be faster (always good) etc,
However, they did say, check with the developer -which in this case is me, so not much help really!.
Will moving to a MariaDB 10.3 DB break my current sites (all on 2.2.10) or should all be ok?
I do have the option to upgrade to MySQL 5.7. Which I assume is the safest option, but if MariaDB is more efficient, I would like that.
Thanks for any help.
Cheers,
Paul
