newbie question

I have just downloaded CMS MS with the help sample site. Its comprehensive and I start to understand the terms and how it works. BUT not wishing to alter the sample site (since it is my guide) my one burning question is how do I start a complete new site and start adding templates etc or can I copy the sample site and modify that?

You can duplicate the files to a new location, and copy the database in your host's control panel, then just edit the config.php to point to the new database name. Make sure to clear the cache first.

Or, you can just run the installer again in a new location, after creating an additional blank database.

If it's just to play with the templates, you can always create a new design and templates, leaving the sample templates untouched.
