Sub Menu "chevron" doesn't contract back

I'm running a rather simple Intranet on the 2.2.5 release using the stock Left Simple + 1 Column template design.

On the left-hand side, I have a number of pages that contain "sub-pages" and they expand and show the subpages (as they should) when clicked on.

On the older release of CMS (1.9), this action was also reversible. Once I would click on any of these "nested" menus they would contract back.

The only way to accomplish this on the 2.2.5, in my case, is to click on the Home page. Then all the pages contract back to their default state.

Any way to fix this?

My first guess is there is happening some a JS error. So check the console of your browser's developer tools to see if it gives you a hint.

Don't think it's an actual CMSMS issue.
