Design Manager loads forever ("autorefresh failed")

I just wanted to edit a template file and noticed, that the design manager neither shows me the contents of the tab "Templates" nor the contents of the tab "Stylesheets".
It just displays the blue spinning wheel forever...
The debug console of Firefox shows a javascript error:
autorefresh failed - jquery.cmsms_autorefresh.js:103:3
However the contents of the tabs "Designs","Template Types / Prototypes","Categories" are shown.
Whats the problem here?
