News module not saving updates on v 2.2

News Version 2.51

I have added some field definitions to the News module. When I edit an existing article, my values are not being saved.

I can edit the field definitions of the items that are the default fields (summary, content, extra etc) and those save just fine.

If I add values to the custom defined fields on CREATE, they save fine.

I cannot edit those values after create however.

Is anybody else experiencing this?
