Did you delete cache files in tmp/cache and tmp/templates_c?

Do you mean you can`t see the login page at all? If that is the case I believe your problem is something else.

Hello

Just wanted to add my voice to this. I have been having exactly the same problem since upgrading to V2 in October last year.

I am alerted by our client that certain front end pages are showing an error. I try to log in to the admin and sometimes I can, sometimes I cant - in these cases when I cannot I get in by using the password reset option on the admin login page. To be clear - the admin login page shows but it does not accept my username/password.

Once in the admin the log shows this:

Automated Task Succeeded PruneAdminlogTask

Followed by the errors, eg:

Unable to load template module_db_tpl 'Gallery;' in 'content:content_en’
Unable to load template module_db_tpl 'LISEActivities;summary_' in 'content:extra_block’
Unable to load template module_db_tpl 'LISEDocumentLibrary;summary_' in 'content:sidebar’

I have tried keeping on top of updating modules and the core hoping that it will sort the issue but no luck. It happened this morning.

Is there any way to see it fixed anytime soon? I can give access to a site / hosting where it occurs. Thank you.

I unfortunately experience the same issue on one of the sites I've recently upgraded to 2.16. The 2 modules causing the error in my case are Uploads and Gallery (both which do not have their templates in the design manager). The "Unable to load template module_db_tpl" also happens after automated tasks. I have to manually delete tmp/cache via FTP to be able to log in the backend and to get the site working again after these errors.

The error happens rather random, first the site was live for an entire month before it happened, and now 9 days and the errors started to pop up again this morning.

FEU is also installed on the site in question (but without the errors in the admin log, only Uploads and Gallery trigger these), I saw it mentioned on a previous post.

Are there any news on this? Or anything we can do to provide you with more infos?

I would suggest that you upgrade to 2.2 (and 2.2.1 will be released in the next day or two). Where this problem has been solved.
