Filemanager and folder naming

Post by lumimies »

Hello

After upgrade 1.12.1 >> 2.1.5 it is impossible to reach Filemanager folders that are previously named including special chars. For example with "ä or ö"

This behaviour started after upgrade 1.12.1 >> 2.1.5, so those folders worked before upgrade.

Is this intended behaviour - and - is there something i can do besides naming folders and linking content again?

Regards

Just tested in 2.1.5 (NOT an upgrade btw) and possible to create and read from a directory with special chars:

Hello

Yes - clean 2.1.5. works also for me that way. So - it seems that the upgrade procedure somehow affects this.

Is it possible to re-install Filemanager?

Update - also the upgraded installation allows creation of foldernames with "ö" and "ä"

But - its is impossible to navigate in to them. Browser just returns to "uploads" folder.

Had same trouble with a client some times ago. Reason for that behaviour were wrong pathes inside config.php.

Create a fresh install, compare their config.php with your config.php and you will see what I mean.

Current CMSMS needs only a minimum config.php cause it can detect system pathes by themself (different to older CMSMS versions you are come from :D ... yes, I know it cause Printing module is really out of date :o )

Reduce your config.php and I think it should work then.
