Dear All,
I'm running CMS Made Simple 1.2 "Barbados" (will upgrade soon on Linux.
I'm experiencing problems when trying to reorder the content pages while logged in as a user from the editors group
The editors group has the following permissions:
- Add Pages
- Modify Files
- Modify Page Structure
- Remove Pages
- Use Album
I can reorder content pages by pressing the blue up and down arrows at the main content page list.
I can't reorder content pages by using the "Reorder Pages" option (you can find it next to "Add New Content")
In the "Reorder Pages", I can move the items up and down in the list and press the "submit" button without errors being shown but the changes are not being saved...
I'm not experiencing this problem when logged in as an admin...
Has someone experienced something similar?
Thank you for your help!
Greetings,
Manuel

Re: Reorder Pages problem
I've been testing a bit further and I'm experiencing this problem on 4 (all) of my cmsms setups!!
If something in my previous post isn't clear or you would like to see an example, just send me a message...
I would really appreciate some feedback about any reason that could possibly cause this problem because I really can't think of any... Anybody??
Greetings,
Manuel

Re: Reorder Pages problem
Hello Manuel,
you should upgrade to latest 1.2.x
Which supported admin browser are you using ?
Does it have special JS handling ?
Do you see anything strange with debug set to on ?
Do you see anything strange in your http logS ?

Re: Reorder Pages problem
Dear Pierre,
Thanks for replying, I apologize for my late reply!
I normally use firefox for the administration but when I tested with IE, the reordering of the pages worked!!
Too bad I'll have to recommend using IE for the administration to my clients...
It's still strange that I can reorder the pages using FireFox when logged in as an admin and not when logged in as an editor...
Maybe this issue should be reported to the bug tracker?
Again, thank you very much for your reply!!

Re: [solved] Reorder Pages problem
Hello,
you should upgrade first to latest stable 1.2.x and retest before reporting to the bug tracker.
Please check your CMSms editor user rights too.
