[fixed] Admin needs to select new editor on updated site...

Post by janaf »

Minor non-issue:

As TinyMCE is not installed by default any more in 1.10, a site updated to 1.10, admin needs to pick the new WYSWYG editor MicroTiny under AC / My Preferences / User preferences

Otherwise no WYSWYG editor will show as setting still points to TinyMCE. On Edit pages, one ca see the WYSWYG checkbox but it has no effect.

It may be better if the TinyMCE is explicitly set as default after an update.

Of course no issue if WYSWYG is previously set to None...

Can I conclude you are saying, after upgrading to 1.10 TinyMCE is not working anymore? But MicroTiny does work after changing the default editor?

Correct.

That is so on the test site I updated from 1.9x to 1.10

I can see that TinyMCE is still in the installed Modules list. So I uninstalled and installed it again but it is still not showing up. It's not in the TinyMCE module Testing area either. I also tried toggling the checkbox "Turn WYSIWYG on/off" . Not working.

However, MicroTiny works if selected.

Okay clear :) There are still issues with TinyMCE in 1.10.
You work with beta package 1 or latest SVN?

It's the Beta package.

Can you give a link to the latest SVN?

Thanks

I upgraded my 1.9.4.2>1.10 website with the latest TinyMCE files from the SVN (2.9.3)
Editor is working for me again. So looks like already fixed by Silmarrilion

Somebody could confirm this?
