ability for end user to change image size when viewing image (320, 640, 800, 1024)
oh sh!t script made to generate thumbnails in the event the gallery module cannot
picture information (date uploaded, resized resolution, original resolution)
ability to make album and picture descriptions

things to come:
admin section able to upload files, create directorys(albums) delete files

Why not use the file-admin that allready is in the cmsmade simple.

Make the gallery configured in a way that it uses the UPLOAD + /gallery/ as root directory and so all the uploads would be done thru there.. And so the new gallery would require making a new directory in filemanager and uploading the files thru the integrated manager..

I just finished implementing an image manager in the WYSIWYG editor of CMS, (based on: http://www.zhuo.org/htmlarea/demo.html and press the image button) and was planning to also implement it in the file manager.

Would this still be useful if gallery software is used to upload images? I believe that the upload possibilities of the gallery may be superior (upload zipped images and so on) but the htmlarea file manager is quite easy to implement AND has some very neat image processing capabilities.

Any thoughts on this? I would think, leave the upload possibilities of gallery in the module. You would have basic upload capabilities through
the file manager, and get extended possibilities once you need them by installing the gallery module.

Bewbs: I'm looking forward to try this module!

Greg: Neh, I think the topic just moved up because of a new post in the thread. The changelog (and the editor too, for that matter) look the same

Bewbs: nice work!

Well, it's already weird just from the users. :) Ok, and the devs, too.

Bewbs: Image management is implemented in 0.7. You might want to use the file filtering capabilities in files.php to ignore the image thumbnails that are created by image manager

Anything on this? is there a d/l url?

This addition to the core CMSMS will make the 100% ideal CMS for my needs. Thanks so much.
