cms_module_hint vs xt_module_hint
cms_module_hint vs xt_module_hint
I just installed MAMS which then also installed CMSMSExt (and SmartyExt). The MAMS help refers to {xt_module_hint} which I believe comes with CMSMSExt. However, {cms_module_hint} ships with the core and seems to do the same job? I suppose I could have asked this years ago when i first spotted {cge_module_hint}. Or is this a case of {cge_module_hint} having progressed into the core as {cms_module_hint}, and the fork of CGE still has this extra fat ?
Re: cms_module_hint vs xt_module_hint
If memory serves correct, I think it was just a case of "that's so useful we should include it in the core" and then yes, the fork just included everything that was in the original. I'm sure the fork will get a good cleanup in the future, as there's a few other features that may get included in the 3.x core in some form or another.
