Show template/RSS template

Hi all,

what are these tabs in the News Module for: "Show Template"/"RSS Template"?
How do I use them?

They are the smarty templates used to dictate what gets displayed.  They're more of an advanced feature, but I always hear about people wanting to change the output of how News displays things.  With this feature, you can modify the output directly in the admin to, say, use a div instead of the spans or change the class names used.

That, and it was a good test for the templating stuff built into 0.10.

Alright, it's getting clearer. Do I use CSS here?

Well, this is basically what is going to be replacing your {cms_module module='news'} tag.  So, you want to do the CSS in your template based on the classes that you see in this template.

That didn't come out right...  template means 2 different things in this context.

You want to do the CSS in the template for your page based on the class names in "Display Template" for news.

I think that makes more sense (I hope).

Oh - is there a way of trimming the box with the last-seen pages? It's getting out of hand...

sorry, i have a german version, you know.
it's "Recently Used Pages"

Oh, in the admin?  You can turn off bookmarks and recent pages in the User Preferences if they're in the way.

Well, that's an option, of course.
But since I use both, I was wondering, if I could trim the "recently..." to the last 20 pages or so.

I thought it only showed 5.  Have to look into that one.
