LISE not importing a ListIt2 instance after upgrade

Post by paulbaker »

Upgrading a site from 1.11.something. Upgraded to 1.12.2 without issue. Upgraded to 2.2.15.

It has an instance of ListIt2. To upgrade this and get it working on 2.2.15 I installed LISE and then clicked:

Extensions > LISE > Import from existing LI2 instances:

Sadly this gives a 500 error:

Code: Select all

Tried Extensions > LISE > Try to fix tables imported from LI2 instances:

Same 500 error

-----

Tried Extensions > ListIt2:

Error:

Code: Select all

How can I get LISE to import the existing ListIt2 instance?

Thanks

Re: LISE not importing a ListIt2 instance after upgrade

Post by DIGI3 »

I made some notes after much testing, hopefully they help you although I'm not sure I've had the exact same error. Order of operations matters:
  1. In CMSMS 1.11.x, install LISE 1.1
  2. Import ListIt2 instances
  3. manually add 'template' column to cms_module_[instance]_fielddef table for each instance
  4. manually add 'url' column to cms_module_[instance]_item table for each instance
  5. change any GBFilePicker types to JMFilePicker in db
  6. uninstall listit2 and GBFP
  7. upgrade to 1.12.2
  8. upgrade to 2.x
  9. upgrade LISE to latest
If you run into an error on step 2, you may need to edit lib/class.LISE_LI2coonverter.php (I can't post the fix to the forum, but you can ask in Slack)
Not getting the answer you need? CMSMS support options

DIGI3, with your tips I was able to go back to my backup and successfully upgrade the site and change its ListIt2 to LISE.

THANK YOU O0
