CompanyDirectory upgrade error line 27

I am upgrading an old cmsms. After I went from version 1.10 to 1.11 the CompanyDirectory ceased working. I updated all thirdparty modules (hence also CompanyDirectory and JQueryTools) on every step to the versions actual at the time of 1.10 and 1.11. Had to actualize the module.

I then went to 1.12.1 hoping it would solve the problem, but still, CompanyDirectory does not work in Backend and Frontend, while the rest of the website works fine.

When going to frontend page where content of CompanyDirectory should be displayed, only a cmsms error page is shown:

Syntax error in template "content:content_en" on line 27 "{CompanyDirectory summarytemplate="mitgliederbetriebe" category="mitgliederbetriebe" hier="Baar"}" unknown tag "CompanyDirectory"


I am not sure now, as I don't find anyone else having this problem - should I just update to cmsms 2.x and hope the problem will fix itself?
