Changes not committing

Hey team,
We are web developers who have just been handed CMS Simple to help maintain a website for one of our clients. As it is our first time around this platform, we are hoping you don't mind us asking what feels like the dumbest question in the book (!) We have a collection of data using ListItExtended. We edit an existing item, hit both Apply AND Submit and, though we see the 'Your changes have been successfully saved' message, the changes are NOT committed to the site. We have hard-refreshed our browsers, tried multiple internet connections and devices and still our change does not display on the website. If we go back into the item, the change HAS saved in the backend correctly. Is there some magic to this CMS that we are missing? HELP!? Cheers, Lou x

ListitExtended is an old module so will be the version of your CMS. So guess you should consider updating it.

My first hint: clear the CMSMS cache. I think it should be in the Admin > Site Admin > System maintenance > Cache and content > clear.

Then refresh the page.

If that doesn't work make sure the website is not behind some caching/proxy server.

If that's not the case, make sure you're editing the right items. ListItExtended may have multiple instances. Better check the specific Content Page if you can find what module/instance is used for the content. If it's not found in the content, then it maybe in the page template. It's also possible the developer used another way for displaying items. CMSMS is flexible, so multiple ways to get to a result.

Brilliant.

The cache clear wasn't it but you are right - the content was actually pulling from the page template and ignoring the lists. Odd. Appreciate your help with this. Legend!
