FEU not displaying content after upgrade (SOLVED)

OK - THIS IS RESOLVED. Looks like latest FEU needs php 7 or above - sorry must have missed the announcement somewhere.

Hi,

We recently upgraded a site using FEU to display protected content to logged in members. FEU and core and CGExtensions we all upgraded at the same time from the preceding versions.

On logging in to the members area we now see a blank page or occasionally just a paragraph tag - but nothing else. Navigating the rest of the site when logged in shows pages but without the style sheet and often not loading past the header - but nothing much at all on the protected content pages. All was fine before the upgrade.

Any ideas please?

The site is running the latest core 2.2.10. The only additional modules other than the defaults are FEU (2.13.2), Captcha (1.0), Formbuilder (0.8.16) and Gallery (2.3.2) - all are latest versions.
