CGCalendar - no events in admin shown

Post by rotezecke »

I played with CGCalendar (2.6) for first time today, downloaded as tar.gz., on 2.2.9 CMSMS.
i left CGCalendar settings at default, apart from the foreground / background colours for general category (thankyou, forum-users). I created an event, and the front-end shows it just fine. admin calendar shows nothing. There's no JS error, nothing in PHP error log.
in the console I can see the XHR request and JSON response, for admin calendar that response is empty. I can find my event in admin via "Find..." and edit or delete it. Likewise, the "delete expired events" also works.
I tried various events, with/without custom fields, multiple categories, draft or published, etc. I have no module_custom entry for this module or any other language files installed.
I should disclose that this is happening on debian 8.11 with php 5.6.39.
The self signed SSL certificate requires a security exception, but the browsers (firefox 60.4.0esr and chromium 57.0.2987.98) store that ok, and no error messages seen. The CMSMS itself started at 1.9.x many years ago and was moved many times but has no homemade hacks (i think)
Not sure what else to try. Any ideas appreciated.

This is actually due to a bug in 2.2.9 core, and has been fixed in svn. If you're comfortable with svn you can find the fix, otherwise watch for the next release.
