PDFGenerator compatibility issue

I have been using the current version of the PDFGenerator and on the staging site it works perfectly, I moved the staging to the new production server at RackSpace and the Module is now not exporting content at all, I just get a blank PDF no header or footer.

I have checked the staging against the production and only the php version is different from what I can see. in both cases all seems ok.

the staging server is running php 5.4.33

anyone had a similar issue to this.

I have also looked at both the phpinfo() dumps for both and nothing jumps out as missing on either.
