'endless scrolling' with LISE problem

Post by Simon66 »

Hi,
I followed the tutorial on https://www.cmscanbesimple.org for 'endless scrolling' with CMSMS modules.
It's a great tutorial and it works perfectly on a LISE instance except when I turn on pretty URLs.

Has anyone else tried this?
Found a solution?

Cheers

Hi Rolf,
The page is http://genexnews.com/gallery.htm.
This is with pretty URLs turned on.
There are 20 images and they autoscroll with pretty URLs turned off.

Cheers

LISE is a bit different than most other modules in that it tries to prettify pagination links when possible. When not possible it falls back to ugly URLs without disrupting the items details pretty URLs. Thus, if you add a non default summary template in the calling tag LISE will automatically switch to ugly pagination links to be able to carry on the template data on the URL to the next pages.
Having said that, if you plan to always use pretty pagination links you'll probably need to change the following:

Code: Select all

<a href="{$nexturl}&showtemplate=false" class="jscroll-link" rel="nofollow">load more</a>
to

Code: Select all

<a href="{$nexturl}?showtemplate=false" class="jscroll-link" rel="nofollow">load more</a>
Check the correct smarty variable and syntax as I haven't tested.

Thanks Jo,
I have removed the pretty URLs for the moment.
I'll revisit this at a later date.

Cheers
