CGCalendar Upgrade error

Post by cpansewicz »

Hi,

We are in the process of updating our CMS from 2.1.1 to 2.2.2. The upgrade went well, but there was an issue with upgrading the CGCalendar module and the way the templates were setup, so we downgraded the module to 1.16.1 for the meantime. Now, where content should be showing, the page says "Array" instead (see screenshot). What should I fix?

Thanks!

From the release notes CGCalendar 2.4.4:
You may need to reset the fullCalendar prototype template back to factory defaults in the 'Template Types' tab of Design Manager, and then create a new fullCalendar template.

Ok. Thanks. I'm not seeing any Calendar templates under Template Types in Design Manager. The Product templates aren't there either.

You said you 'downgraded' I don't know what you did, there is no mechanism in CMSMS to downgrade anything.

The only 'clean way' to downgrade is to restore from a known good backup.

Re: CGCalendar Upgrade error

Hi,

As a followup to this post, I preformed the following steps:

1. Returned to the last working back-up with the earlier version of the calendar
2. Updated the site to 2.2.2
3. Updated the calendar module

The calendar did update fine. All my templates are missing, and not to be found in Design Manager.

Is there an easy solution to this?

Thanks!

Hi,

Just another update to this Array error. These are the steps I've taken to troubleshoot the error.

1. Remove the existing CGCalendar module
2. Install a fresh copy CGCalendar 2.4.7
3. Reconfigure / add categories and custom fields
4. Import templates and a test event
5. Add JQuery, etc to header

Everything went well. But my calendar is still rendering "Array" anywhere there is a custom field. The custom fields are listed in my templates as "{$event.fields.fieldname}" .

Thank you so much any input or advice on what to do next.

Thanks!
