Products templates not visible after upgrade to 2.2.2
Products templates not visible after upgrade to 2.2.2
Hi, we are having an issue where the Products module templates aren't visible in the admin, nor displaying on the site after upgrading to 2.2.2?
I actually think this problem may have occured in 2.2.1 as well.
This site also has CGBlog installed, which tends to behave similarly to the Products module, but is working as expected.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Products templates not visible after upgrade to 2.2.2
Having the exact same issue. After upgrading to Products 2.26.9 the module stopped working and started showing
I'm still on CMSMS 2.1.6.
Thanks in advance for any help on this.
when trying to access the page. Also in admin there's no access to Products Templates. The module options shows in admin, you can also see the product list, but no templates option.Could not find template type identified by Products::List View
I'm still on CMSMS 2.1.6.
Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Re: Products templates not visible after upgrade to 2.2.2
The Products module now uses DesignManager for templates (it's in the changelog).
That said, there was an issue with ModuleManager in CMSMS 2.x (fixed in 2.2.2) that caused problems during the upgrade process when converting templates.
If you upgraded Products before you upgraded CMSMS, AND you upgraded using ModuleManager, then you may have this problem.
You may want to roll back to the previous version of Products, and then upgrade again (if using 2.2.2) or use the .tar.gz file instead of ModuleManager to do the upgrade.
This applies to CGCalendar as well.

Re: Products templates not visible after upgrade to 2.2.2
Hi calguy1000, thanks for your response.
In my case, I'm still on CMSMS 2.1.6 and have no idea how to roll back without loosing my templates, if not already lost. I've downloaded Products-2.25.3.tar.gz but don't know if I just unpack it and use Module Manager to re-install or what exactly.
Thanks for your time on this.

Re: Products templates not visible after upgrade to 2.2.2
Hi Calguy1000, I've just...
1. Upgraded to CMSMS 2.2.2.
2. Rolled back to previous version of Products.
3. Upgraded Products and no error were shown.
But still there's no option on Design Manager for Products templates, so I have no idea what to do now.
Please help

Yes, I am having the same issue with the location of the Products templates. Is there a good way to correct this?

Re: Products templates not visible after upgrade to 2.2.2
If you're having problems:
a: Revert back to a known good working backup of your site
b: Upgrade to CMSMS 2.2.2
c: Test to make sure modules the site works and grab andother backup
d: Upgrade Products, and CGCalendar
Dancing around trying different things does not help when the data is already corrupted to a known fixed issue.

Re: Products templates not visible after upgrade to 2.2.2
Hi, Thanks for outlining the steps. I followed these steps and the Products module is working fine. I am having one issue with CGCalendar after following the steps. Module Manager says "Database Version Newer" under CGCalendar (the old version, 1.16.1).
So I am running CMSMS 2.2.2 with CGCalendar. If I update the CGCalendar with the "Database Version Newer" notation, to the current version, will this work? Or do I need to correct the "Database Version Newer" notation first? If so, how would I do that?
Thanks

Glad things are working for you, cpansewicz.
I followed the steps outlined by calguy1000, and all good, except that the Products summary templates don't show in the Design Manager, which breaks the site. all other Products templates do appear to be there.
So, still looking for solutions.
Cheers,

Re: Products templates not visible after upgrade to 2.2.2
Yes, I had that issue. Your templates have been renamed in the Design Manager. Once you fix the names, then your module will work. Also, don't forget to review the preferences for the module. I had to reset my preferences (page paths etc.)
Go into Design Manager, and filter through the various Product templates. You will see yours there. Just rename them to the correct name. It appears there is no longer a Summary Template prototype. I think the summary templates are now under List. I hope this is clear enough. Good luck!

Re: Products templates not visible after upgrade to 2.2.2
For me it wasn't that easy since my DB backup was somehow corrupted, so I had to uninstall Products completely and re-install it again from scratch, then manually edit some values in the DB, but after that everything worked. Luckily I had my templates written in a text file so it was easier to create the templates again.
Thanks for the help.
