Hi,
I'm trying to print a category list, whith action="category". Is there a parameter or else which gives the possibility to print only 1 category and its children.
For example, this is all my categories :
FR
> Sanitaire
> > Douches
> Wellness
> Ventilation
> > Test
> > Test 2
I want to print only :
> Ventilation
> > Test
> > Test 2
Anyone ?
Thank you !
ListIt2 : Displaying a chosen category list and children
Re: ListIt2 : Displaying a chosen category list and children
Currently only way seems to be usage via template logic.
Way it's build dosen't seem to support any other way.
This requires improvements into whole action, but as 1.4 was just released don't think there will be another release any time soon, else there is some critical performance issue or something that ain't working as planned.
We will be improving this feature with in time, but currently i have other objectives i need to look into.
Best regards

Would you be willing to improve ListIt if we pay you?Stikki wrote: We will be improving this feature with in time, but currently i have other objectives i need to look into.
Listit is a *very* promising module, with some shortcomings.
Cheers,
Alex

Howdy,
You guys can compose mail and send what you need exactly.
Idea that i have up coming category handling is slightly different that it currently is, but that wont happen before CMSMS Core 2.0 is out.
Categories are always been weak point of this module, and that part currently requires insane amount of useless maintenance so, idea i have about future categories is something that merges items and categories without tree structure. So something called Item Type.
But if you need these changes into 1.x version of ListItExtended, please leave ur exact needs into: hi@idt-media.com
We will check that and be in touch.

Re: ListIt2 : Displaying a chosen category list and children
Well, I have a recurring problem:Stikki wrote: Categories are always been weak point of this module, and that part currently requires insane amount of useless maintenance so, idea i have about future categories is something that merges items and categories without tree structure. I need multiple categories with subcategories and a simple way to display them. E.g.:
Product Type
-Type1
-Type2
-Type3
Vendors
-V1
-V2
-V3
Features
-F1
-F2
-F3
-F4
and I wish I could call it like
modulename subcat="Type1,F3" cat="Vendors"
Ideally the module could auto-generate a matrix with all options as checkboxes to start a search for items ...
I know this is a lot of work ...
Well, if I am the only one who wants that I won't bother you ...Stikki wrote: But if you need these changes into 1.x version of ListItExtended, please leave ur exact needs into: hi@idt-media.com
Listit2 is a great module, and it has become my secret weapon, so to speak. Thank you very much for this module!
