After upgrading my site to 1.11.2.1 my news detail page will no longer show. Instead, all I get is a 504 error. I've never seen this before, does anybody have any idea why this might be happening. It tried using the default News Detail Template, but that did not work.
The site is www.dbsvt.com

News Detail Page Stopped Working after Upgrade
Re: News Detail Page Stopped Working after Upgrade
Did you make any changes to the News summary template, have you tried using an extension like .html..?
Re: News Detail Page Stopped Working after Upgrade
I did not change my summary templates and I just tried adding extension .html - neither worked. I'm getting desperate...
Any other ideas!
CORRECTION - I am getting a 404 error not a 504 error...

Re: News Detail Page Stopped Working after Upgrade
Do you have smarty tags to call other modules in your detailtemplate or newsarticle?
Re: News Detail Page Stopped Working after Upgrade
I did have a Gallery call in two of my News Articles, but they worked fine before the upgrade.
After two days and hours of trying different things, I decided to click the buttons under System Maintenance (Optimize Tables, Repair Tables, Update Page Hierarchy Positions, and Update Routes).
Lo and behold the news detail page started working again!!!
I'm happy it's working but I'd like to know WHY it worked... Any ideas?
Thanks,,,

Re: News Detail Page Stopped Working after Upgrade
At some point there was a new route thing in the News modules so most likely yours didn't take so clicking Update routes fixed it...

Re: News Detail Page Stopped Working after Upgrade
This happened to me today after upgrading to 1.11.2.1.
I tried the buttons in system maintenance but it didn't work for me.
I then uninstalled the news module, then re-installed it, and it fixed the problem.
