First I would like to say that I really like your module and use it a lot.

I only have one problem. Is there a way to make it compress all the image in de /uploads folder instead of only /uploads/images?

I use the news module with the file option to add images. These images are stored in /uploads/news/id?/imagename.jpg
With the current module I can't compress these images.

Thanks for your info.

Kind regards Remco

Hey flmm,

thanks for your appreciation!

Would be a nice feature to include those images optionally. By the way in my humble opinion the news module should store images in the image folder.

Please post the issue as a feature request here: http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/feature_request/list/970.

Please keep in mind that developers do have their daily jobs, which means that feature requests are done as time allows. If you need this feature really badly, consider a sponsored development.

Cheers,

Great idea for a module, never used it before but hopefully will be great when I get it working!

I'm getting a message when I check savings...

"Image couldn't be processed or service unavailable. Umlauts or spaces in image name?"

I get the same message on every single image in the list (couple hundred) and this is an example of the filename

content/968x207/968x207-hepcw3.jpg
content/polycom/datacentre.jpg

Any ideas on how to fix?

UPDATE: I've just tried this on another of my installs and I get exactly the same error?

I guess you tried it on a localhost that smush.it doesn't have access to. I'll soon release a 1.10+ compatible version.

Does 1.10 work with cmsms 1.10.2?

When I click check savings I get a login box, when I login nothing happens.

I've just tried it with a fresh installation of cmsms 1.10.3 and image compressor 0.10 on my local machine - it worked like a charm. Have you correctly upgraded and cleared the cache? Also try a reinstallation of image compressor.

Cheers.

Thanks for you reply.

I now see what is the problem. Most of the images in the uploads folder are CHMOD 644 instead of 664.
The user uploaded the images with ftp :(.

Removed the images, uploaded the images with filemanager and it works great now :D. Great module.

Using Image Compressor 0.10.2 does not list JPG files any more, just GIF and PNG are displayed (and processed).

However version 0.10.1 does also support JPG.
Why was the support for JPG removed?
