Multiple contents in News article

Hi,

I'm running cms ms 1.5.4 and news module 2.9.3.
I'm using news module to show upcoming events for each day.  Each day there may be several events (max. 5) I'd like to create layout something like this, each event contains image and text:

Is it  possible to add multiple contents in one news article? So that when the user is adding news article there are e.g 3 content boxes where images and text can be added? One content box for each event.

Or is here any better way/module to do this?

Make all the news items it's own article with the same date then make your news call just those and line them up next to each other...

BTW. the oldest we support is CMS Made Simple 1.6.5 and 1.6.6 so please upgrade...
