Products module - image upload

I am using the products module version 2.8.2

I made a custom field called 'image' and attached an image upload field to it.

Whenever I add a product and choose an image it says:

"Field customfield: Files of this type cannot be uploaded -"

The image extension is allowed, its not too big, the dimensions are right.. any ideas what causes this error?

File extensions should be separated with comma without spaces, also they are case sensitive.
On the settings tab there should be subset of "Allow upload of files with these extensions (for all upload fields):" in a fields "Allow processing of images with these extensions (for image type fields):".

Thanks for your reply, but that is something I tested.

I also searched the forums here and found that as a common problem, in my case that's not the problem unfortunately...

It should be smth dead simple like folder permission, may be  Win dir separator ("\" vs "/"). Try to upload images with name longer than 8 symbols + extension.
