Yeah, I'm kind of thinking the same thing. Maybe when other stuff gets a little more settled, but it's a pretty low priority at this point.

i used IBF for my community sites before, and i remember this one MODification that allowed CSS changes to the Admin Control Panel.
it wasnt a great big deal, but it helped me feel like the forum was 100% MINE MINE MINE. ya know?

i chose the colors, style, layout, etc. of my forums.
and was then able to choose the colors of my ACP.
i dont recall being able to change the layout of the ACP.


and i understand fully why whis is not a top priority for the developers.
perhaps near the end of the next big release, a modification/enhancement to the admin section would FINALIZE the sensation of THIS CMS BEING MINE.

Sure. I definatly see value in wanting to do it. Things like this smart becoming more imporant as we gain more users, which is cool. Before maybe a week or so ago, I'd be afraid to do it just because there wouldn't be anyone else around to make new themes. I'm sure it's doable for 1.0, though, so long as there is still a user base by then.
