Completeed stem cell network website

Post by joecannes »

Here is one just completed :

http://www.stemcellnetwork.ca/index.php

Using:

- CMSMS 1.5.2 MLE
- News module
- random image plugin
- random global content block plugin
- CG Feedmaker

The site also incorporates custom features, such as:

- Google Calendar (made a UDT for that)
- Using Feedburner's Publicize tool (to bring the latest headlines from the blog which is using TypePad)
- a custom search tool to search Past and Current Projects (using the news module)

Very nice.

In the news section (and possibly others), it would be nice to have a subnavigation for the different news articles - or at least breadcrumbs. If you could use next/previous people would be more inclined to read through the articles

You also have a few very minor validation issues that might as well be fixed to keep search engines happy

Thanks for the responses and the error checking

I have cleaned up the errors but get one error that comes from when I am listing the events (which are being categorized as Events in the news module)

The "&" character is in the title of a event item, dont know how to escape that character when I output events,

Thanks DIGI3, your right about the news section, there can be more navigation added on the site.

Right now, it is in the client's hands and thats the way they wanted it, so I have to leave it as that

Bonjour,
Maybe more politic than an technic comment, but it doesn't have a french version? I know it's probably not your business, but for a canadian national network...
But the web site is fine and I love your fluorescence image and the way you use it in wallpaper.

PS Je ne sais pas si tu es francophone ou non, alors en cas de doute, j'ai écrit en anglais...

Bonjour Mel,

Non, je suis allophone, mais je comprende français.

Yes, the french version is being worked on, as it is taking time to translate the entire site and all the documents.

Are you in  Quebec as well?
