CMS Version:1.6.6 "Bonde"
Current PHP Version (phpversion): 5.2.9-2
Server Software (server_software): Apache/2.2.11 (Win32) PHP/5.2.9-2

I downloaded the diff-mle-vs-cmsms-1.8.2.tar.gz, uncompressed and overwrote. went to www.domain.com/install/upgrade.php followed the steps, all went fine. No issues, no warnings, no errors. After the upgrade, I still have 1.6.6 "Bonde"

Throughout the upgrade it said "Thanks for upgrading CMS Made Simple to 1.6.6 (Bonde)" After uncompress, I definitely overwrote the files, it asked and I selected 'Yes to all'

I also tried the diff-mle-vs-cmsms-1.6.7.tar.gz but similar issue.

you must use the cmsmadesimple-1.8.2-full.tar.gz and not the diff-version.

I got up this morning and thought I would give it another go. I reverted back the site to original version. Restored the database and downloaded cmsms-mle-1.7.1-full.tar.gz. Uncompressed, overwrote and upgraded. Worked this time.  ;)

Found the issue. When I unzipped it, I didn't notice that it put it into a folder in the root directory.
