If you are editing among several websides, and their admin sections use the same theme, their favicons will be same as well, and it is hard to tell apart pages in many tabs.
Firefox 6. Right click>Page source.
That will tell you where the favicon is. For
NCleanGrey
it will be
/admin/themes/NCleanGrey/images/layout/ncleangrey-favicon.ico
Copy over your main site favicon (renamed from favicon.ico to this filename).
It may take several refreshes to get to see the update. Firefox caches favicon very stubbornly. Usually, only after you actually view the favicon by entering
yourwebsite.com/admin/themes/NCleanGrey/images/layout/ncleangrey-favicon.ico
will it update the favicon. Clearing caches usually does not do it.
[TIP] Change admin favicon to main site favicon
Re: [TIP] Change admin favicon to main site favicon
Good idea.. I sometimes have multiple sites up when copying some technique from one site to the other... Every once in awhile I click 'Submit' in the wrong window
Re: [TIP] Change admin favicon to main site favicon
Update: I also made backgrounds of those favicons different from the main site. That makes it even clearer!
