new basic theme: liquid 3 column

Post by frankmanl »

I found this theme 'HolyGrail', made by Matthew James Taylor, and made it CMSMS ready. (see http://themes.cmsmadesimple.org/Downloa ... works.html)

Main characteristics:
* CSS based liquid design (percentage widths) - adjusts to browser width
* header, 3 columns, footer
* browser compatible
* SEO friendly - main column is rendered first, sidebars after that
* all columns run from top to bottom, full height (but it may be hard to give them a -rounded- border)
* manual is included in the template - just delete that once you understand how the template works
* CSS2.1 and CSS3 validated
* XHTML Transitional validated

Out of the box the styles are set to colour code the page, for easy recognition of all div tags. It may look a bit too bright, but shows exactly how the page is set up.

Included are:
* accessibility
* horizontal CSS menu
* search
* breadcrumbs
* print
* relational links

In the template a link is provided to the original design by Matthew, where you can also find versions in pixels and em width.
