Need Help to fix a banner image payment waiting!

Hi I am the end user of a CMS made simple website that functions well and I am fairly proficient with updating the site etc. However the banner image has become dated, and the option to change it is not available to me as end user. I am a designer for print and can easily supply a new image to replace the one currently in use (I would need dimensions) but I am not familiar with the FTP to server needed to complete this job. Ideally the site would be altered so that it was easy to change the banner image by me as end user in the future, otherwise I would design something with a more timeless quality to replace it so the problem did not recur. Quotes for this work to be completed welcomed payment via pay pal upon completion.
