Install and then uploade

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Install and then uploade

Post by jmcg »

I am installing cmsms on a Ubuntu 14.1 server that has php5.4 running. I am running test on a local webserver before I upload the results to my hosted server. I should ask, will that work. If I run the install on the local server and verify that it performs as expected can I then upload the entire directory structure to a hosted server and have the cmsms functional?

Thank you

If you have the local exactly or closely matched with the hosted server in terms of requirements, I don't a reason why it should not work. You should always clear cache before moving, and after moving once on the target server. Cached data may have unpredictable effects, not to mention that will add to the amount of data to transfer.
