cmsms-2.0.1.1-install.php Won't Run
Hi. I'm running CMS 1.12.1 Rontiki. I'm using PHP 5.4.19, and MySQL version 5.5.19 on a GoDaddy Apache server.
The PHAR portion of phpinfo shows:
Phar EXT version 2.0.1
Phar API version 1.1.1
SVN revision $Id: c5042cc34acebcc0926625b57dff03deebbe6472
$
Phar-based phar archives enabled
Tar-based phar archives enabled
ZIP-based phar archives enabled
gzip compression enabled
I have uploaded and extracted CMS211cms2-0-1-1cmsms-2.0.1.1-install.zip.
cmsms-2.0.1.1-install.php shows in the server root directory.
I have enabled cookies and java script.
I have set the config.php permissions to 777.
When I try to run cmsms-2.0.1.1-install.php I get the my home page with a URL of:
http://circletail.org/cmsms-2.0.1.1-ins ... /index.php.
Suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Guy

Re: cmsms-2.0.1.1-install.php Won't Run
I can also confirm the same problem with the following:
PHP Version 5.6.10
Phar EXT version 2.0.2
Phar API version 1.1.1
SVN revision $Id: a861a034647a6e80ebad0851e018adee293647fb $

ZIP-based phar archives enabled
gzip compression enabled
bzip2 compression enabled
OpenSSL support enabled
MySQL 5.0.11
EDIT:
Based on the migration from 1.12 to 2.0.1.1, you will need to use cmsms-2.0 first then upgrade to 2.0.1.1

Are you sure ?Based on the migration from 1.12 to 2.0.1.1, you will need to use cmsms-2.0 first then upgrade to 2.0.1.1
I think you can directly update 1.12 to 2.0.1.1 with cmsms-2.0.1.1-install.zip or cmsms-2.0.1.1-install.expanded.zip
The process upgrade contains V 2.0 then V 2.0.1 and 2.0.1.1

Bonjour,
Thank you for your response. I also tried cmsms-2.0.1.1-install.expanded.zip. All tests passed, but I got the following when I tried to access the site:
Fatal error: Uncaught --> Smarty: Plugin "form_label" not callable <-- thrown in /home/content/51/7953851/html/lib/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatebase.php on line 431
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Merci,
Guy

How about providing detailed data such as system info?...Guy wrote:Any suggestions would be welcome.
This probably means that you may have an UDT, plugin or module that is not working correctly, or not compatible with CMSMS 2+, but without further data it's a guessing game...Guy wrote:Fatal error: Uncaught --> Smarty: Plugin "form_label" not callable <-- thrown in /home/content/51/7953851/html/lib/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatebase.php on line 431

Re: cmsms-2.0.1.1-install.php Won't Run
Please read all the README files, the release notes, all posts related with CMSMS 2 releases. Not only you have modules that are not ready for CMSMS 2+ (FCKeditorX and CMSForms most likely wont work and even break the upgrade), as you haven't updated the compatible modules to the latest versions. That's a formula for disaster. And it's well documented too.
Most of the modules that have been tested by their own developers have the tag CMSMS-2 on the forge. Others may or may not work, but haven't been tested. If you want to test, we recommend that you clone the site and test on the cloned site, not on the production site. Then, if all goes well copy or move the cloned site back to the production site.

Re: cmsms-2.0.1.1-install.php Won't Run
Thank you. I am pretty good about keeping modules up-to-date. I checked for updates before I tried to upgrade to 2.1.1.
I think I will delete the modules I don't use and check the rest against Modules marked by its developer ready for 2.0 http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/project/li ... ed/CMSMS-2.
Are there other suggestions?
I really appreciate the help.
Thanks, Guy

Re: cmsms-2.0.1.1-install.php Won't Run
Some modules will not uninstall in the admin module window. Is there anything wrong with just deleting the module file from the server?
Thank you,
Guy

Just rename the module folders and the module will be disabled

I tried that method but somehow cmsms-2.0.1.1 will not allow direct upgrade from 1.12 to 2.0.1.1.I think you can directly update 1.12 to 2.0.1.1 with cmsms-2.0.1.1-install.zip or cmsms-2.0.1.1-install.expanded.zip

I'm sorry to say but you are wrong. I just tested it and it runs as expected.luya wrote:Yes.jce76350 wrote:Are you sure ?Based on the migration from 1.12 to 2.0.1.1, you will need to use cmsms-2.0 first then upgrade to 2.0.1.1
You may have run into some PHP error for some reason, but in general this path of upgrade has been tested numerous times, works and is valid if all the requirements are met and there are no problematic 3rd party modules installed.luya wrote:I tried that method but somehow cmsms-2.0.1.1 will not allow direct upgrade from 1.12 to 2.0.1.1.

Re: cmsms-2.0.1.1-install.php Won't Run
Your result differed from my own where I hit similar problem from the original post with all met requirements. I only posted what worked for me. Perhaps asking how I did so you can see what I did wrong to correct my mistake would greatly help than assuming I am wrong.Jo Morg wrote:I'm sorry to say but you are wrong.
