MySQL upgrade and cmsms versions

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

MySQL upgrade and cmsms versions

Post by JiiPee »

Hi, my server will soon upgrade MySQL from 5.1 to 5.5 or 5.6. I have several cmsms installations running 1.11.10 and few has 1.11.6 and 1.11.4 versions. Is there going to be problems with these older cmsms versions or are they fully compatible with newer MySQL version?

About upgrading cmsms versions, is it ok to upgrade those older ones straight to newest version? I dont have any special modules in use, mainly form builder and gallery modules. Do I need to first upgrade cmsms or modules?

Thanks for any help :)

no versions below v1.9.4 are compatible with MySQL 5.5+, so upgrading the cmsms to the newest shouldn't be a problem.

Read Upgrade CMSMS to the latest 1.11 release on http://docs.cmsmadesimple.org/upgrading/old-versions
