problem after update from 1.6 to 1.6.2

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

problem after update from 1.6 to 1.6.2

Post by NashBridges »

hi
after the update from version 1.6 to 1.6.2 via the diff-tar-file i get following error trying to view any child page:

Fatal error: Call to a member function GetURL() on a non-object in /var/www/html/web723/html/eagles/tmp/templates_c/%%6E^6E4^6E4E713C%%tpl_head%3A23.php on line 11

clear cache didn't solve this problem...
can anybody help?

greets
christian

Since it does look like a cache problem maybe go, FTP, to root/tmp/cache and remove all but the index.html files then root/tmp/templates_c and remove all but the index.html file...

Is this other project in the same hosting environment ? in a similar one ? in another one ? What does the hosting provider say about this ?
BTW 1.6.3 is a *security* upgrade. Everybody should upgrade asap.

i have a development server where i can develop my web projects and test update before doing that in the working environment. and in this development area i tried to update a 1.6 project to 1.6.2 (and later 1.6.3). this is the one which caused the problems... in the same environment a new 1.6.3 installation is working fine...

the problem is not so important, but i don't want to update the working environment before being sure that i can do this without any problems... as a last option i will try to reinstall cms ms completly and transfer the updated project to a basic installation...

Have you run System Verification?
