Upgrade from 2.1.6 to 2.2.1

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Upgrade from 2.1.6 to 2.2.1

Post by jackstringer »

OK I am having a bit of a nightmare with the upgrade. I have not had much luck with this new style installer/upgrader.

Looks like your host has ModSecurity enabled blocking parts of the installer. Contact them if that is the case and ask them to disable/change it.

You have a permissions problem in some file that CMSMS is trying to write to.

I have fixed the issue with the missing lang string for 2.2.2

I have a feeling I have had a similar issue before. Was to do with PHP sessions but I thought I had fixed that. I need to nuke this VMS and start again.

Plesk... Try to increase values to:

max_execution_time 300
max_input_time 300
memory_limit 1024M
post_max_size 32M
upload_max_filesize 32M

Don't know if it is related, but at my Plesk host I got strange errors during upgrading. After increasing these values it worked. Worth a shot...
